Vintage Pyrex Collection

I've always been a collector. When I was little it was rocks, sea shells, Barbies, My Little Ponies, troll dolls and troll cards (Did anyone else have these? They were ridiculous.) These days my collections are mostly vintage and mostly housewares, but equally adored. I think it's the thrill of the find that keeps me collecting, but I also just love having pretty things around. Over the next few weeks, I thought that I would showcase some of my collections starting with my vintage Pyrex collection. Most of these pieces have been thrifted over the last three years. This isn't my entire collection (Not even close!), just a few of my favorites.

Did you just fall in love?
For more information on Pyrex, check out the Pyrex Collective or Pyrex Love
but be careful, it's a slippery slope!

What do you collect?

Sarah

Oh so pretty! Where do you keep everything?

I don't collect anything - with a kid in the house, it's impossible. We already have too much stuff!

These are all so adorable! Love the bright colors! Hopefully they're not hidden in a cabinet :)
Weirdly, I collect rocks from different places. If anyone I know (myself included) goes somewhere, I ask for a rock from somewhere interesting.

Your Pyrex collection is WAY bigger than mine...I kind of had to put a halt to mine because I still live at home, and my tiny room has no more space to put them! We have a lot of the same Pyrex though :) I'm DYING to find a fridgie still!!!

I've recently started collecting vintage thermos'. I've gotten some pretttyyy ones :)

I love Pyrex... your collection is beautiful, I'm jealous! I have that pink casserole dish with the flowers :) I think I've told you that before though!

I used to collect (loosely) USSR memorabilia, but I haven't been on the hunt for any in a while :(

It never occurred to me that collecting vintage pyrex could be a thing. Now I know that it is and that it's so pretty? It's going to be hard not to start a collection of my own.....

Wow, oh yeah I did fall in love! These are fabulous!

I'm such a collector too, always have been, although I only had one Little Pony and one Troll haha. Lately it's been mostly owls and weird books(I just bought one yesterday on vending machines!). And I have a small collection of non-piercing Indian nose rings;)

Your owl moment sounds amazing by the way!

Ummmm yes. Love at first sight in fact. I think I may have to do a similar post just to make myself feel better. I think your collection TOTALLY outdoes mine. But it's okay. I can tell you love them:) My faves are the cinderella bowls (have many of those) and my refrigerator boxes. Those little guys get me every time. I'm quite a sucker for them! :) great post!!!

So beautiful! You're so right about thrifting being a slippery slope- before I even got to the bottom of the post I began thinking of purusing house listings. Because of course I need vintage pyrex pretties- I'm on the hunt for an old ricer or food mill myself, and then I'll need a bigger kitchen, and then a bigger house, and the next thing you know I'll be begging my boyfriend to relocate to a sizable cottage nestled into the great Smokey Mountains of North Carolina. All because I saw a cute old dish on your blog! Slippery slope indeed :)

Sarah, I am so in love with your Pyrex collection! It's what made me want to know you better-because it's just the sweetest. So, thank you for sharing, I've got a new friend for it! :)
These are all so pretty. I love to have pretty things around me that have a history, too. Wondering about the people who they previously belonged to is pretty fun stuff. Can't wait to see what other collections you have.

AAAhhhhh! I did fall in love. I love pyrex, too, but I do not collect it. I have a couple pieces that I inherited from my grandmother. And when my Mother passes, I am fortunate to be her only daughter, so I will get more. Love, love, your photo editing.
I have the yellow polka dot bowl. Now, it looks lonely in my kitchen.

What a great collection! The last photo is so pretty. :)

Can I claim nail polish? lol

When I was in high school Jer's dad traveled a lot for the government. He brought me back a Starbucks city mug from Cyprese, and I loved it so much he started bringing them back from all the countries he went to. I have quite the cabinet-full now. :)

Beautiful! I started collecting copper things. Copper pots, copper pot racks, copper anything! I love the way that my copper wall sconces have patinated over time...although copper pots is not the cheapest of collections!

When I realized my love for copper was really taking over my parent's mind, was when this past holiday I received a copper cheese dome. Nice job Dad, only have been vegan for 14 years. :)

Love your bowls, so bright and sunny!

Oh, I needed that Pyrex fix! We're house sitting for almost 2 weeks and I'm starting to twitch because I miss all my pretty Pyrex! I did happen to have leftovers in my Meadow casserole so I (of course) HAD to bring it with. ;)

I'm super jealous of all your Dots bowls-I only have one and every time I walk into a thrift I do a little deep breath mantra of 'Dots.Dots.Dots.' So far it hasn't really worked...oh well!

Love it! Such a cute collection.

I love collections, and occasionally share some of mine on the blog. Three or more is a collection in my book, so some of my collections include: vintage cameras, Penguin books, nail polish, all things ampersand, gold jewelry, pretty shoes. :)

Ha! You said it- It is indeed a slippery slope! So many vibrant colors and perfect conditions pieces in your collections! Loves!

oh i adore these vintage pyrex pieces!!!

and yes, i had lots of my little ponies, strawberry shortcakes... and, um yeah, trolls. including the ones with the hollowed out bum to go atop the no. 2 pencil.

My parents have a lot of theirs from the seventies still.

I am not really a collector at this stage of life right now. I am more of a "get rid of things." We are still at this point where we are moving a lot and the more stuff...the harder the move.

I started collecting Pyrex in September - I'm hooked! Over the years I've had so many collections - stamps, postcards, spoons, candle snuffers, Lefton girls with hair - but now it's all about the Pyrex!

Head over heels in love. I recently started collecting the blue pattern Pyrex my mom had when we were kids. Not near as pretty as these. I may have to expand my collection . These colors make me so happy.

What a beautiful little rainbow of colour. They are such cheerful, pretty objects to have around the home. I collect vintage hairdryers, mid-century ceramics and glass and whatever else I happen to come across at my local junk shop!
