I am thrilled to announce my first regular feature here at anonymous was a woman - My Favorite Photo! It's one that I know I will enjoy and I think you will too. Let me explain: I was raised by a photographer and spent a good chunk of my childhood in a darkroom, but photography was just something that my father did for work - it was never anything to get excited about. It wasn't until I began blogging in 2009 that I developed an appreciation for photography as an art form. Now, I can't imagine my life without it. Photography is intimate. It is tender. It is raw. It transcends time, and communicates in a way that words can't. This is why I love taking photos and why I love seeing what others have done with their cameras. For this feature, I'd like you to share a photo that is special to you, and explain why it is significant. 1. Choose a photo that is meaningful/special/significant to you.
2. In a paragraph or so (or longer if you'd like), tell me the story behind the photo - why is it special to you?
